I have been in the work boot business for over a quarter of a century, working with a company who has been in the shoe business for 107 years. At Brown’s Shoe Fit in Fort Dodge we do business the old fashion way; face to face, honest, hard working and a hand shake means more than any paper and signature ever could.
We opened the Fort Dodge store in 1996 with the vision of doing work boot business. We started with two brands and maybe 100 pair. We now carry nearly a dozen brands and have thousands of pair in stock. We work with great companies like Cargill, CJ Bio, Josephson Manufacturing, Elanco, Poet Ethanol, Koch, Lugaria Foods, Rojohn Home Improvement, Mid Country Machinery, Hiway Truck, Webster County Sheriff and the Fort Dodge Police Dept. All of these companies and many more, have house accounts and most use a voucher program for their employees. We can set up a voucher program where your employees can house charge any amount you decide and they can pay the difference at the store. Our experienced staff will measure their feet, they can try on as many boots as it takes to find the right pair and we stand behind everything we sell. We make the process efficient for the safety directors or HR person making the process simple and satisfying for the employee and the company. Our boots are priced competitively. We also offer a free gift with purchase several times a year. Typically we give Fits brand work socks (a $20 value) and everyone loves them. We offer work wear from Carhartt for all seasons. We can customize any piece with your company logo or other design. We work with local embroidery and screen printing companies to make the process efficient for you. I am one of the owners of the store and the sole decision maker in the Fort Dodge location, so we can make decisions fast and take care of specific needs or any problems that may occur.
